We Miss You!

Dear Treasured Ukiah Valley Golf Course Members and Guests,

It has been six Monday’s since we closed Ukiah Valley Golf Course and we all began practicing sheltering at home and social distancing. For most of us this has been a challenging, life changing turn of events but according to our Governor it is slowing the spread of the virus and bringing us closer to the day we can all resume our lives. How and when is the question!!

We have been busy at Ukiah Valley Golf Course as this time has allowed us to work on some projects that we have wanted to complete and excited to show you our work when you return. At least we will feel that we accomplished something during this time. It has also allowed us to bring a few more employees back to work. The small team we have here is keeping everything going so we are ready to relaunch. So happy to have them here.

We have an amazing team here for you. This moment reminds us that we’re all connected like never before. We’re called upon to be our best selves, with patience, understanding and compassion. On behalf of all of us at Ukiah Valley Golf Course, we’re committed to being your partner and persevering together in all the days and years ahead.

Welcome to Ukiah Valley Golf Course… Home of Slush by the Park Located in Ukiah, California, the story began in 1931.

With many years of strategic games of golf, generations of families and visitors have enjoyed and continue to enjoy the lush greens and well-kept course, events in the historical Todd Grove Events Room, a light and fun fare “Clubhouse Menu”, and the most recent addition of the Italian ice and Gelato sweet store known as “Slush by the Park”.

Every aspect of this site has a wonderful history of all things community and family. From the designing of the course to the 100-year-old recipe of Italian ice that we serve.

Course Update as of 3/27

Dear fellow golfers,

Last week we all changed how we enjoy our daily lives. Let’s put this into perspective. Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting all of our families, our businesses, our communities, and our way of life. We would just like to put it out there that we’re re-upping our quest to be kind, as we have no idea the battle you are facing, or the anxieties, or your personal risk factors that may/may not be visible.

First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who’s been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. And we’re truly inspired by all the people around the world who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need.

Our decision to close our operations came at the request of our City and County officials who issued a Shelter in Place order beginning on Tuesday, March 17 and continued with additional Counties issuing the same order on Wednesday March 18. The decision to close your facility was not an easy one but we felt it necessary for the safety of our employees, our partners and all of you. The time had come to follow the advise of our community leaders.

We’re called upon to be our best selves, with patience, understanding and compassion. On behalf of all of us, we’re committed to being your partner and persevering together in all the days and months ahead.

As we go forward, we’ll be sure to keep you updated, and know that we always value your questions, ideas and feedback.

Temporarily Closed Until Further Notice

Valued Customer,

As of Wednesday March 18, 2020 at 12:01am a mandatory shelter in place order has been issued for Mendocino County. This order applies to the shut-down of non-essential businesses which includes our golf course through April 8th.

During the closure we will ensure the golf course is secure and taken care of and we look forward to being able to return to normal business as soon as the shelter in place is lifted.    Our thoughts are with our employees, customers and their families during these unprecedented times.

Our Operations management team, Frank Johnson (taymangolf@sbcglobal.net) will be responding to questions and inquiries during this closure.
